You won’t achieve greatness without doing this!

Fear disguises itself in the form of comfort. It makes itself look so wonderful and appealing so you don’t resist.  In reality, your comfort zone means guaranteed failure. That is if you want to achieve greatness in your life- which I am assuming you do since you are reading this blog post. Your comfort zone gives you a false sense that everything is balanced and everything is okay. This could not be any further from the truth.

I have heard tons of people talk about this topic but I did not completely comprehend it until recently when I had an awakening.  I realized that since I started to take action to achieve higher goals I have been put out of my comfort zone in every way you can imagine.

Most of us don’t like to be embarrassed, caught off guard, or rejected.  Sometimes a few of those instances are what you need to get the ball rolling and start achieving higher goals.

“To get something you have never had you have to do something you have never done. “

Recently I have been called to do impromptu presentations for a room full of strangers (yikes!),  experienced rejection in every form possible, and put myself out there to the world at the risk of being ridiculed (the internet can be scary place.) I realized that every time I faced one of these fears I felt relief after. Not because the experience was over, but because I had the courage to stare at fear straight in the face and was able to keep moving forward.

Was I terrified and shaking in my boots in these fearful circumstances? Hell yes! But I knew that if I overcame the situation at hand, then I would have the confidence and strength to overcome bigger mental obstacles.  I knew that I would be able to see myself as a person that chooses growth over comfort. A person who will not let an illusion terminate success. (FEAR= False Evidence Appearing REAL)

Once you experience multiple fear facing situations- you cannot help but to want to challenge other fears. I am constantly asking myself now, “What other fear can I overcome that will help move me forward?” It’s kinda addicting.

Your comfort zone is fear keeping you small.  It is the cause of mediocrity in the lives of many.  The comfort zone is why some cannot achieve big things. Mediocre people look to the border of their comfort zone and will do everything possible to never step outside of those boundaries. They see anything that is past their frontier as unsafe grounds and not what it really is- liberty.  It is liberty from our ego, from our minds, and from what the world wants us to be.

I know that the average mediocre person is not you. You are the person who knows that you deserve something more than what your comfort zone will ever provide.  You are actively seeking to make major changes and to live the life of your dreams.

Why not take action now? Why not send that email you have been too scared to send? Or talk to the person you have meaning to talk to? Or go to the place you have been wanting to go? Or take the first step to being the person you want to be?

I agree with you Sol 100%!
People see getting out of their comfort zone as a threat, they’re afraid it might lead to failure. But there is a high “risk” of success involved too.
I see it as a “you can’t win, if you don’t play” kinda deal!
Thank you again Sol for the daily boost of motivation!
